About

Ted Wallis performing live

Ted Wallis is a Seattle-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and artist creating cinematic indie rock, indie folk, Americana, and emotionally driven alternative music for film, television, advertising, and recording artists.

Earlier in his career, Ted fronted the bands Orange and Stargrass, which toured nationally and received extensive college radio airplay throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Today, his primary focus is writing and producing music for sync licensing while also creating songs available for artist recordings.

Ted writes, arranges, and performs much of the instrumentation on his recordings, giving the songs a cohesive artistic voice while collaborating with world-class musicians and engineers where it elevates the music. Ted owns both his master recordings and publishing, providing one-stop licensing with instrumentals and stems available.

Recordings captured by Franklin Mazzeo at London Bridge Studio in Shoreline, WA — the legendary studio behind Pearl Jam's Ten, Alice in Chains' Facelift and Dirt, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Mother Love Bone — and at Push/Pull Studio in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood.

All tracks are mastered by Evren Göknar, a Grammy Award–winning mastering engineer with 25 years at Capitol Records in Hollywood. Evren mastered ten seasons of NBC's The Voice and is the author of Major Label Mastering: Professional Mastering Process (Routledge/Focal Press).

Ted's publishing is handled through MoonSongZ Publishing (ASCAP). Ted is represented non-exclusively by Triple Scoop Music. MoonSongZ Publishing on LinkedIn →

The sync-ready masters presented for licensing are human-composed, performed, and produced, with no samples and no AI-generated recordings.
